Description
Book A2 contains four Grade K reading passages. Each passage is followed by five questions that assess literal understanding, vocabulary, sequence, inference, text evidence, and main idea. A student may complete one story at a time or use selected passages for pre- and post- practice.
Student Directions
• Read the entire passage carefully.
• Circle the best answer for each multiple-choice question.
• Write True or False for each statement.
• Write the missing word for each fill-in-the-blank item.
• Return to the passage when you need evidence.
• Review all ten answers before finishing.
Adult/Teacher Guidance
• Allow the student to read independently unless an accommodation is part of the planned instruction.
• Record the raw score out of 5 for each passage.
• Review incorrect answers by asking the student to point to evidence in the text.
• Use the performance guide as an instructional indicator, not as a formal diagnosis or official grade-level placement
